SCH8810F Heavy Duty Fire-Rated Rim Exit Device / Grooved Housing / Grade 1

SCH8810F heavy duty fire-rated rim exit devices with grooved housing are used for all types of single and double doors with mullion.
The Exit devices are available in the following finishes:
US3, US4, US10, US10B, US26, US26D and US32D.

Fire-Rated Rim Exit Device:

Locking Mechanism

Uses a rim-mounted latch that secures the door by engaging the door frame directly.
The latch is surface-mounted, with a simpler mechanism compared to a mortise lock.

Mounting Configuration

The device is mounted on the interior face of the door, with the latch engaging the strike plate on the frame.
Easier to install as it does not require cutting into the door for the lock mechanism.

Grooved Housing

Appearance: Textured, industrial look.
Durability: More resistant to wear and tear compared with smooth housing.
Applications: High-traffic, utilitarian environments.

Device Length

The devices are precut for 36″ (914 mm) and 48″ (1219 mm) wide doors (standard shipping size), no additional cutting is necessary.

Short 36″: Device Length is 33 ⁵/₃₂″ (842 mm) for 3′ (914 mm) door use, with short push bar.

Long 48″: Device length is 45 ¹/₈″ (1146 mm) for 4′ (1219 mm) door use, with long push bar.

Standard vertical rods fit 7′ (2134 mm) panic exit doors or 8′ (2438 mm) fire exit doors. For taller doors, specify the height when ordering to receive a longer top rod.
