- SCH5910S heavy duty panic-rated rim exit devices for wide stile and flush doors use are used on single doors/double doors with mullions.

Panic-Rated Rim Exit Device:
Mounted on the Door Surface: A rim exit device is mounted on the interior face of the door, with the bolt engaging the frame to secure the door.
Spring-Loaded Latch Bolt: A spring-loaded latch bolt retracts automatically when the push bar is pressed, releasing the door quickly.
Durable Construction: Made of materials like stainless steel or extruded aluminum to withstand heavy use in high-traffic areas.

SCH531 Strike Shim
Supplied with the SCH532 strike. This 1/8″ thick shim is designed for doors with a 1/2″ stop to ensure the correct distance between the device latch and the surface-mounted strike. If the frame has a 5/8″ stop, the shim is not required.
SCH532 Panic Rim strike
Surface applied. Standard on SCH5000 Series panic rim exit devices. Stainless Steel, With a plated roller.
SCH533 Fire Rim Strike
Surface applied. Standard on SCH5000 Series fire rim devices. It is 100% stainless steel including a roller.

Device Length
The devices are precut for 36″ (914 mm) and 48″ (1219 mm) wide doors (standard shipping size), no additional cutting is necessary.
Short 36″: Device Length is 3215/16″ (837 mm) for 3′ (914 mm) door use, with short push bar.
Long 48″: Device length is 45½″ (1155.8 mm) for 4′ (1219 mm) door use, with long push bar.
For narrow doors, trim the “A” portion to fit a door width minus 2″ (51 mm).
Standard vertical rods fit 7′ (2134 mm) panic exit doors or 8′ (2438 mm) fire exit doors. For taller doors, specify the height when ordering to receive a longer top rod.
